Box.net Review
Coined as the “virtual” box to store that stuff
you need in Box.net is the premier online storage
service. Store all your important documents, videos, music
and any other files on Box.net and access them from any
where in the world. No Software to install and easy to use,
it's the ultimate online storage solution.
Box.net Features
Box.net is a lot more then just a bunch of space on a hard
drive somewhere that you access via a web interface.
Box.net offers several layers of security, starting with SSL
encrypted uploads and downloads of all files and folders. Your
account is password protected so no one can easily gain access
to it, and when you share data it also is password protected
only allowing the person you've shared it with to gain
access.
Their uploading is unique, with a custom drag and drop
application to upload files from your computer, or the
conventional browse and select files method that many of us are
used to. The drag and drop is fantastic for beginners or those
that don't like sifting through folders to find the files their
looking for.
There's no software needed on your computer to use Box.net.
So you can access the files you have stored from anywhere in
the world with an Internet connection, and to make things just
a bit easier they have web based applications that allows you
open, view, and edit files that are stored at box net's
website.

"I've never
had a problem with
Box.net and would
recommend their service
to anybody! Even if
you're just backing up
photos. I've had DVD's
mysteriously partially
erase and I've had
several hard-drives fail.
Box.net is the most
reliable way to back up
your data."

"I needed an online file
storage service that would let
me transfer files from one
computer to another. They made
it very easy, and I was able to
get all my important documents
from my home to my office. The
customer service was very
responsive, and when I had a
small issue about uploading,
they got back to me right away
and figured out what I needed
to do"

I'm a big fan of their graphical interface. It's colorful,
fun and easy to navigate. Even someone not familiar with
computer applications could easily figure out how to upload and
share files using Box net.
You create folders and sub folders in your account on
Box.net in order to store your files. Just like on your local
computer. You can rename, delete, and move folders and files
all from within their online interface.
Downloading is done either by individual files, or folders

share, a custom URL (web address) is created and then emailed
to the person(s) you wish to share it with. The area is pass

After sharing documents other users can edit and modify
files that they have access to.

Support
Box.net's support is top notch. They have a fantastic FAQ
